We are half way through narrowing down contenders for the Best New Royal Hat of 2015! Turning our focus to The Netherlands today, we have thirteen more millinery finalists that cover a rainbow of colours and styles. To streamline the poll, I have omitted a number of less memorable hats (links are provided below). Click on any of the photos to jump back to original posts to see additional description and detail of the hats.
The hats with the most votes across this semifinal will move forward to a final poll. If you don’t think any of these hats are worthy of the title of Best of 2015, save your vote (or jump back to vote again for hats from Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, or Luxembourg and Norway).
Queen Máxima (not including this and this brown calot, pleated red turban, grey calot, and brown slice hat)
Princess Beatrix (not including this charcoal grey hat) and Princess Laurentien
Do you think any of these hats deserve to be named best royal hat of the year? Cast your vote below. Voting will remain open until January 1, 2016- you can vote for multiple hats once per day.
I consider Queen Máxima’s hats belong in the top group of best new hat this year. I think the best hat was the black felt picture hat
pictured at Number 8. I liked her hair in this elegant chignon too. Other great hats worn by her are pictured at Numbers 4, 3 and 6.
I consider Princess Beatrix’s blue and white striped hat pictured at Number 9, to be her best new hat this year. I don’t tend to like her huge bumper hats. This shade of blue suited her quite well. Princess Laurentien’s hat was alright but not a contender for an award.
You forgot the blue hat she wore in Canada, May 27!
That hat (see it here) dates back to 2011 so does not qualify for best new hat this year.
Any of the hats Queen Maxima has worn this year would get my vote; she looks fabulous!
I was hoping the Dutch voting round would come out on my birthday! Loving this and can’t wait to see how it all goes down!
Queen Maxima is absolutely stunning.
Queen Máxima’s hats were among the best this year. I love 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8, especially 8!
Number 8 for me too. Sublime.
