Princess Beatrix Attends Film Première

On Saturday, Princess Beatrix took in a film premièring at the EYE Film Museum in Amsterdam on the subject of Dutch Masters in the 21st century. For this event, she was artistically dressed in modern print coat and matching hat. With a mushroom grey felt crown and silver straw brim and wide sash around the crown, her hat was all about contrasting texture. It’s an attractive piece that sets off Beatrix’s coat very well, don’t you agree?

  1. This color can be really difficult to pull off at times, but Beatrix does it wonderfully here with both hat and outfit. The hat is nice, but the mixture of the straw and velour felt does confuse me somewhat. The coat is to die for! I love the cut, design, and fabric.

  2. How lovely she looks, as everyone has remarked. Beautiful ensemble in style, color, and in suitability to her and to the occasion, and the hat–just perfect! She looks full of energy and enjoyment–long may it remain so!

  3. She looks wonderful! I love the coat and hat combo. The hat is still in her favorite family of styles, but is much more streamlined. The thinner profile makes the whole look lighter.

  4. It’s a hat with a brim rather than her usual cake hat! The coat is beautiful, and (as you said) the hat sets it off perfectly.

  5. Yes, The Princes looks quite chic, modern, vibrant and happy! I like the hat’s sleeker lines compared to some of her others.

  6. The perfect ensemble for the event. The Princess looks beautiful, modern and vibrant. Her signature hat is a nice size. I love the colors, and the jewelry!
