The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are on a two-day visit to Croatia this week. Today, their itinerary included a tour of a stud farm where Camilla was presented with a traditional Croatian hat and a stop in the small town of Osijek where they were greeted by dancers in traditional folk costume. For these events, the Duchess repeated her ruched hat in chocolate wool with faux fur cuff brim. It’s a casual, working hat that was successfully ‘dressed up’ with her gorgeous cream coat, polka dot dress and chocolate accessories into a smart ensemble.

I don’t love the Paddington Bear hats that the Duchess seems to like, but this is the best one of its type because at least it is more structured rather than slouchy. I like the rest of her outfit, and the chocolate colour of the hat tones well with everything else she has on. I wonder if we’ll get to see her put on the traditional Croatian hat?
Her Royal Highness does look lovely, but I’m rather interested in Prince Charles’ coat! It’s surely one that he’s worn for years, BUT for the last few outings, it seems to have sprouted a fine velvet collar! Can anyone else confirm this?
What a splendid coat. The Duchess looks just right for the occasion and the weather.
I agree. That is a great coat. I guess the coat makes up for the repeated (looks very comfortable) hat.
Just fine . Really like the coat.
Now sometimes I don’t mind the Paddington hats. Particularly when they’re quite structured as this one is. I think this pairing is rather elegant, and she looks toasty.
Not my favorite hat, but it works with this outfit. Also, it’s very windy and quite cold in Croatia (expected snow today), so I’d have probably chosen something similar myself. Love the coat.
She looks lovely – bisque and chocolate are always good shades on her
