Wish the photo was in color. The hat and coat look lovely on Princess Margaretha. The peach velvet does not look like the only color on the hat. Seems like the color closest to her hair is of a different color than what is obviously the peach on this hat, but because it isn’t in color, it’s hard to know what was the other color.
A ‘peach basket’ is a certain style of hat, not the colour!

i can’t help but comment on the little girl’s hideous haircut. Hard to believe, but this exact look – ultrashort, chopped, no layers — was all the go for little girls with straight hair in the mid-1950’s.
I too love the flashbacks and it is fun when a current royal wears a flashback hat such as Viscountess Linley did not so long ago.
