Princess Aiko is lovely. I hope her graduation brings a change in school uniform. Once a young lady is taller than her parents, a shapeless sailor dress is too young.
Agreed that Queen Margarethe should retire that hats.

First of all, doesn’t PBeatrix look wonderful? Sure, her hats are of a similar type (layer cakes), but I’m sure the exhibit is very interesting.

Definitely will be visiting Het Loo it is a beautiful place in its own right – you can even have afternoon tea in the chandeliered ballroom which I would LOVE to do – but even more reason to go again with the hat exhibition being on! Hoping they allow photos as last time I went they did not. Ironic that Princess Beatrix did NOT wear hat to the opening!!

I want to see Bea’s hats sooooooo much, but Appeldoorn isn’t the highest on my list of places to visit, and I don’t think I’ll convince my other half! Even Bea looks a bit surprised by that hat, she’s quite the one when it comes to millinery….
I saw the Beatrix hat exhibit on Patrick van Katwijk’s Instagram stories, and I was so jealous! Looks to be a fun exhibit! Disappointed Beatrix didn’t wear a hat to the opening, however.
A bit awkward I missed the news Tessy and Louis had divorced, and sad that we won’t have the most interesting hat wearer in the family anymore.
And yes, that Treacy photo of the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire is divine!
In answer to your question regarding Queen Margrethe’s hat: I would have to say, looking at its other appearances for comparison, that it does look rather tired now. Perhaps we can hope for a new hat and costume soon.

We need to charter a flight to Het Loo Palace and all wear our best cake hats!
