To me this is the epitome of Englishness, wonderful. Thank you so much HatQueen, every hat item is a delight!
Very nice, cheerful hat.

Thanks, Jimbo! I so appreciate all these video clips you add.
And to those of you who mentioned a twee, Mary Poppins vibe to this hat… I totally see it.
Great video, Jimbo!
The shape is too pedestrian for my taste, and the brim on this hat seems far too small – like a little girl’s hat; but the whimsical daisy trim is delightful – a fresh and upbeat change from the formality of roses and feathers – and there is something interesting going on with the woven crown and the sheer overlay and the flowers (too bad I couldn’t find any closeups 😦 ), which I wouldn’t mind seeing applied to a totally different base.
This hat, while sweet, has a Mary Poppins look to me.
Dye the daisy petals blue and you have the trim for State Opening of Parliament
LesleyC, LOL!
I must say, I’m sure this hat was very fashionable back then, but it sure does look silly now.
LesleyC — yes, repurpose that hat!
