PBI – I think it might be a mink stole, they were ever oh so fashionable in the 50s and 60s still! HRH does look stunning, and the flowers! They’re huge!!
My mother used to say about the characters in the old American TV series “Dallas”, when the women were shown wearing fur coats in Texas in what was clearly hot weather, that they were so rich they could afford to air condition the outside. Perhaps the same was also true of the Royal Family at that time!
