If Maxima ever sees this photo she’s going to attach a veil to her “yarn” hat!!! Oy vey!
This is one of the first Royal Weddings I really remember. Just last week I came across a Pitkin Pride of Britain Book on Princess Alexandra’s wedding in my Royal Stash. Now I must go look for a photo of Queen Ena. I particularly remember Princess Marina wearing a dress of “gold tissue” with a matching hat. She was such an elegant woman. I am away from home at the moment or I would include a photo. Perhaps Hat Queen can oblige.
What a vivid memory, Glitter Girl! I’m very intrigued by your description of Princess Marina’s dress and hat.
Some very good shots of the guests in this 10 minute video.

A belated thanks, Jimbo! Wonderful video, and Princess Marina is indeed as elegant as Glitter Girl remembers.
What did she wear to the actual wedding?! Please could we see a retrospective of the hard worn to Alexandra’s wedding by some of the guests?? Would be Nice to see
