Ascot Day 3: Earl & Countess of Snowdon

How lovely to see the Earl and Countess of Snowdon at the races today. While the Earl wore his black silk top hat, the Countess repeated her basket weave white hat with button crown and short, cartwheel brim, trimmed in a pair of black and grey ombre pheasant feathers. The streamlined hat pairs particularly well with Serena’s royal blue Asian printed dress, don’t you think?

  1. If you’re gonna repeat the same hat one year later to the day, this is the dress do so in! Brava Serena! Camilla should take a cue from this and pair a cobalt outfit with one of her cream hats.

      • Same too! on a first glance I like the way the hat highlights the white in the blue and white dress, though the necklace is not working at all with the dress pattern. At any rate, I prefer this hat with this dress, ratehr than the unflattering white dress she wore last year.

  2. This is a wonderful look. The hat goes so well tonally with the dress and I love seeing strong colors. What a great look for the countess.

  3. What a gorgeous dress! I wish we could see it full length as the salmon color on the collar is intriguing and I wonder if it follows through at the bottom. I love the hat with it. She looks lovely.

    • I was going to say the opposite – I prefer it with the white dress ! I like Serena but she looks like she hasn’t been able to win any races today 😊
