Ascot Day 3: Kent Family

The Kent family was represented at the races today by Zenouska Mowatt and Lady Gabriella Windsor. Zenouska topped her printed black dress with a very smart black straw boater hat. The hat is trimmed with a wide Petersham ribbon hatband and a sprinkling of gold flowers with faux pearl centers. The medium sized hat is a perfect scale on petite Zenouska and made a perfect topper for her fun dress.

Lady Gabriella Windsor topped her bright yellow dress with an unexpected, vibrant pink hat trimmed with exuberant pink straw and crin twists. The hat’s shape, with sideswept brim and angular crown with off-center peak, is one we’re becoming familiar with this season- Lady Gabriella has worn several similar designs that she always carries well. It’s the colour of this hat, however, that really stands out, especially in combination with her yellow dress. If any better photos are released, I’ll update this post (please share links in the comments!)

It’s always lovely to see younger members of the extended royal family at the race and these two hats are winners for me. What do you think of these two designs?

  1. A slightly simpler look for Zenouska, but one she pulls off so well; fantastic look! To see the details on her panama straw boater is wonderful.

After wearing so much cream over the last few years, these colors are amazing to behold on Gabriella! This hat is a keeper for sure!

  2. Lady Gabriella is a classic elegant dresser with flawless taste in hats, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her wear two primary colours together like this, so it will be fascinating to see if she expresses them in her full outfit in her usual classic style. Can’t wait for a full-length pic.
Zenouska Mowatt looks fabulous. The on-trend pattern-on-black dress is ultra flattering, and perfectly accessorized with the gold sandals, and the bejewelled black boater, with its romantic old world Spanish overtones. Enchanting.

  3. I love the details of Zanouska’s hat and her dress is beautiful with an interesting neckline and a flattering high waistline. I notice she wears four (!) different badges.
Lady Gabriella looks quite stunning, in fact all young women in these pictures are great dressers and a pleasure to the eye.

  4. I believe the woman with Zenouska is Georgina Walsh, a colleague at Halcyon Days where Zenouska works, which is described on LinkedIn as a Luxury Goods & Jewelry company. (And presumably also a friend.) Zenouska and Georgina both look wonderful (love those tiny flowers!), as does Lady Gabriella — another great color contrasting ensemble. I hope some other photos of Gabriella will surface showing the top and the bow in greater detail.

  5. Lady Gabriella for the win! She was born to wear hats and I love this vibrant color combination. I have loved what Zenouska has been wearing lately, here, at Trooping and at Garter Day. Really good show ladies!

    • I agree, although all of Zenouska’s companions look quite stylish!
I really want to see Lady Gabriella’s full dress. Her whole look is so gorgeous and she dresses impeccably.
