Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh were on hand Sunday afternoon at Guards Polo Club for the Royal Windsor Cup 2018 polo match. For this event, the Queen repeated her peach straw hat with flat crown and sharply sideswept brim trimmed with a peach wired organza hatband and multi-looped side bows and silk flowers..

Orange is not my favourite on Her Majesty – this shade’s coral undertone is more flattering and makes it my favourite in her current inventory of orange and peach hats. I also really like the presence of this hat’s slightly-larger-than-usual scale and the wonderful contrast between the its crisp angles and very soft, romantic trim. I still think it’s a great addition to her millinery closet.

I just love the Queen in this hat … the organza makes it look so feminine and pretty – the flowers make the hat ! and seeing her have a good time with her bridegroom of course – makes the occasion even more special …😊
This just gets better and better for me with every outing! This hat is honestly one of my all-time favorite hats for HM, and that’s saying something! I think the trim on this hat is what really draws me to it; it’s an exquisite combination of flowers and bows that is both modern and classic. RTM really outdid herself on this one.
Also, Hat Boxing Day, can you imagine? Haha, great one Jimbo! 😀
I love the trim on this hat even though there is no contrast. It’s the best of the peachy-coral hats, I think.
Orange sherbet anyone? Lovely color and classic RTM. Just scrumptious!
SoCalGal, I thought the same thing about the sherbet. It’s a great summer color on HM. Don’t you just love the 4th picture – it reminds me of Grandma showing up on Christmas, laden with gifts! The pix here must have been taken on Hat Boxing Day, the day after Ascot Hat Christmas!
Hat Boxing Day, I love it!
Lovely trim, gives the hat a light and summery feeling. I think this soft shade of peach is quite flattering.
Happy to see this lovely hat again. It’s got a lot going on actually, but the balance with all the elements does work. Hope this one has a few more wears in it yet.
