Lady Gabriella Windsor was married to Mr. Thomas Kingston today at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The bride looked radiantly beautiful in a lace dress by Italian designer Luisa Beccaria. Beccaria was quoted this morning, “In the very beginning, she didn’t even really want a white dress. Her requirements changed a little bit when they decided to marry at Windsor.”
The resulting gown was made from fine layers of tulle and organza- ivory layered with a few in blush pink to give the slightest kiss of colour- with an overlay of ivory embellished Valenciennes lace.

The lace is appliqued with silk ribbon swirls and flowers with a row roses highlighting the waist. The shape follows a sheer bateau neckline and long sleeves with the A-line skirt that sweeps into a beautiful train.

Lady Gabriella wore a tiara that has is becoming a Kent family bridal tradition. Gifted to her grandmother, Princess Marina on the occasion of her wedding to the Duke of Kent, the Kent City of London Fringe Tiara was worn by Princess Alexandra at her wedding in 1963 and by Gabriella’s mother, Princess Michael of Kent at her wedding ball in 1978.

The spiky lines of the Kokoshnik shaped tiara were softened by a sweeping cathedral length silk tulle veil, edged around the front with the same Valenciennes lace that adorned the gown. Applique cutouts of the lace dotted the back of the veil with little blossoms and Gabriella’s hair was fixed in a romantic cascade of curls and looping braids.

The couple were attended by pages and bridesmaids, including Gabriella’s nieces Maud and Isabella, in ivory silk organza dresses also by Luisa Beccaria. The same silk ribbon floral applique on the waist of the bride’s dress trimmed the waists and short sleeves of the bridesmaids’ frocks and wreaths of ivory and peach roses adorned their hair.

Guests changed into evening attire for a smaller, private dinner held in London that evening at Tart Restaurant. Lady Gabriella wore a second lace gown with fitted, sleeveless, v-neck bodice with ballgown skirt (I think, also by Luisa Baccari)

Beautiful dress and wedding in every way. This is the top modern British Royal Family wedding for me along with The Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Eugenie and Lady Sarah Chatto.
What a stunning bride. She looks so beautiful, and so like her Aunt and Grandmother. Her dress is an updated version of Alexandra’s to me, and that’s no bad thing. The only thing is that I find the overlay of embroidery a bit haphazard; I suspect in person it reads very differently. And the Kent fringe was the perfect choice, on a beautiful day it just glowed.
I did a double take when I got to the photos of Alexandra’s wedding (THANKS Hat Queen!!!) and thought the exact same thing. The only thing I don’t like on the dress is those embroidered ribbons waving across it but the rest is beautiful. I LOVE the back and her hair is amazing. I would never have noticed that the roses on the waist of her dress are the same ones as on the flower girls (thanks again Hat Queen!!) and that’s such a nice touch. I guess those individual layers of pink don’t show but I’d imagine they’d make the dress less harsh white.
I love the idea of the Kent ladies having this as their wedding tiara, like the Danes do. It’s not a typical wedding tiara but this dress and make make it as romantic as any of the floral ones. I guess it all depends to which one of Princess Marina’s kids inherited it but I love these kinds of wedding traditions so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we see it on Flora, Zenouska and the other Kent great-grandaughters when their times come.
I wasn’t sure how well this wedding would be covered and am thrilled to see all the pictures! Gabriella looks superb in every way! I love the dress, veil, and the tiara. I do wish there was more color in the bouquet, but at least there was some. I also wish the bridesmaids had colored ribbon sashes, but that is a minor quibble. The groom is very handsome and also looks great in his morning suit. I just tuned in and already saw the hats. What fun! Thank you HatQueen for your time and information on all the details!
Her mother and grandmother wore two different tiaras on their wedding days. Lady Gabriella wore the same tiara as her mother. Princess Marina wore the Vladimir Fringe Tiara from her mother.

Gabriella has chosen the perfect dress (as good as Kate’s IMHO). The bride is beaming in every photo, even with a ‘wild bunch’ group of junior attendants, and you can’t ask for better. A blonde wearing white is always a pretty tall order, again in my opinion, so that this looks so gorgeous and *right* is testament to a good understanding between bride and designer. Well done, all round.

Lady Gabriella has the wonderful elegance of her Kent family – Princess Marina and Princess Alexandra were and are two of the most elegant women in the royal family. Also the Kent men – her father and uncle are elegant.

Thanks for these lovely pictures of a beautiful bride. Seems like she wore an up to date and somehow lighter version of Princess Alexandra’s wedding gown. I enjoyed the departure from plain-white-with-a-sash for the little bridesmaids – the hint of blush with peachy flowers was very pretty – and I liked the longer length of their skirts, too.
