  1. Loving the ombre fedora! Many of this week’s designs have a lovely summery airiness to them: the hoop skirt-inspired crinoline (so original!), the filigree bandeau, the pink jinsin saucer. Great feather work on the Ian Bennett saucer, certainly proving his point that that grey isn’t boring. Is the leather really reflective?

Jolana Kotabova’s red- and blue-trimmed straw would be perfect for a British or Norwegian royal (perhaps some other countries have the same colors in their flags?) cheering on her Olympics team…alas, I believe there won’t be any spectators at the Games this year.

  2. Prince William riding in an electric vehicle in Scotland on Saturday in a protective helmet:

    – Princess Beatrice would look great in the black crinoline and cane hat by London-based milliner Anna Stefanou.
    – The pop of color on the feathers on the grey saucer by US milliner Alexandra Bell for Suzanne Couture Millinery is lovely. I think this would be fun on Zara Tindall at Ascot.
    – Definitely Lady Louise for the exquisite filigree beaded Kokoshnik headpiece by Australian milliner Wendy Louise Diggles
    – I love the black braid on the natural straw button hat by Australian milliner Jill Humphries. I would love to see this on Princess Beatrice.
    – I think one of the young Danish Princesses like Princess Isabella would look lovely in the Jill Humphries’ red bandeau with charming straw braid flowers.
    – I’m so glad you included the pink jinsin oversize saucer with braided brim edge by Australian milliner Christine Waring. I saw it last week and hoped you would highlight it. It’s so pretty and modern. I would love to see this on The Countess of Wessex or Princess CHarlene.

I really like the new family portrait of CP Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Oscar and Princess Estelle. The field of flowers in gorgeous.

What a lovely painting of Princess Benedikte. She looks very elegant at the unveiling and I hope she shows this off to her artist sister Queen Margarethe.
