Queen Mary is wearing some hat! Several ostriches must have been chilly that summer.
I hate to admit however, being more interested in Carnarvon Castle in Wales; now that’s an impressive pile!
Speaking of large hats, does “The Flying Nun” come to mind? Here Queen Mary is visiting Ireland in the same month, in possibly the same hat.

The coronet is tiny, much smaller than Prince Charles’s I saw them together when the regalia of the Prince of Wales was on display in Cardiff at the National Museum of Wales
