This Week’s Extras

Queen Margrethe concluded the Danish summer cruise in Fanø Municipality on Wednesday in her jaunty navy and cream hat with slightly flared brim and straight-sided, flat crown by Mathilde Førster.
Back on August 24, 2021 Princess Benedict took part in the Frontier Union folk festival held at Ejer Bavnehøj, where a tower was erected to commemorate the reunification of Denmark and South Jutland in 1920. She wore a vibrant red (or deep pink?) straw hat with orange straw underbrim and wide hatband for this event.
The following new millinery designs caught my eye this week:

  1. This hat is my favorite of Margrethe’s summer tour repeats, but I’m ready to see something different. Hoping she breaks out something new for the opening of Parliament next month.

Wies, HatQueen has already admired the leather band and binding of your fabulous trilby, but I also love the ribbon trim and those colors! And the gold headpiece on your Instagram is so festive — maybe for someone’s New Year’s Eve?

The Bluebird hat by Jill Humphries is a knockout!

    • I agree mittenmary about Wies’ hat. Just a fun color combination.
I loooove the Bluebird hat by Jill Humphries as well. Such a unique design and the colors are lovely.

  2. Congratulations to Archduchess Gabriella and Prince Henri of Bourbon-Parma on the arrival of a daughter.
