Princess Elizabeth in a straw cloche with flower hatband and brim pleats at the side worn on a June 14, 1935 visit to the Royal Windsor Horse Show with her parents. She was photographed several times in this hat that year, including King George V’s Silver Jubilee.

a different era when wearing a fox was in fashion
I do have a question, why are the women wearing hats and the men holding them in their hands? was this protocol?
The princess’s ensemble is even better in color.

This hat is adorable but it doesn’t look like the same one to me- the brim shapes are slightly different!
That’s why I added the (?) to my comment. However, the color is perfect with the coat, which made me consider this combination as legit. We may never know for sure.
It’s the Duchess of York’s floral outfit I’m admiring the most; that’s really lovely. Of course Marina is supremely elegant, such a beautiful look and so 30s.
These pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Princess Elizabeth’s straw hat with the unusual side pleats on the brim is just lovely. I love how Princess Margaret is wearing the younger version of the hat with ribbons under her chin. And a glimpse of 1930’s Royal elegance on the Duchess of York and Duchess of Kent.
