In June 1982, Queen Elizabeth wore this palest peach hat with matching scalloped crown and brim to a polo match at Smith’s lawn and to Royal Ascot.

A very subtle simple but elegant outfit, this is a lovely hat.
Such a simple, elegant hat with such a pretty dress and coat. Just lovely.
I love this entire ensemble – simple and unique, but unfortunately, only worn a couple times. It immediately reminded me of a VERY early Princess Elizabeth, in 1944, followed with probably the same hat worn by her sister in 1946. My four sisters were forever sharing (stealing?) clothes, which made for a sometimes heated dinnertime discussion.

This is delightful. Simple, elegant, and just right.
Where are you finding these?! Another one I’ve never seen before and it’s a beauty!
What I like best is the economy used, the scalloped theme is the only embellishment, and it makes it all the more elegant. A winner.
It’s always fun to revisit the well known ones but I thought, for this countdown, I’d search for ones lesser known. I adore that some have been new for you! This one is quite a gem.
Well thank you. This blog is a high point of every day for me, and this series is just a blast!
