  1. A lovely and inspired hat and a fantastic outfit for the Queen – classic with a little kick. But O how I wish the vertical feathered trim was not springing up right from the centreline of her face! Maybe it’s just me, but a little judicious asymmetry would improve this so much. I agree that her smiles are a joy.

  2. It’s quite an unexpected design this one, but in spite of having quite a lot going on is well balanced and elegant. Yet again proof of how excellent a milliner Rachel Trevor Morgan is.

  3. Hat Queen, Hat #7 is absolutely in my list of top 5 all time favorite Queen Elizabeth hats! The grey and red combination is spot and perfectly matched with the fantastic tweed coat. The exuberance of the spray of fun in the front is only matched by HM’s delightful smile.

    • That is the other thing that is being highlighted by this series — the extent to which HM has always seemed to really enjoy being out among the public attending her various events. These are not just smiles for the camera, but smiles of genuine enjoyment, regardless of what type of event is involved.

  4. The grey and red hat is delightful. Queen Elizabeth looks as if she really enjoys wearing it. I love how the red velvet binding echoes the velvet collar of the coat and it’s buttons. The button and feather trim make the hat really special.
The pale aqua and black velvet hat is a gorgeous colour combination. I love everything about it. It suits Her Majesty beautifully.

  5. Another one of Rachel Trevor Morgan’s velvet bound brims that I think warrants inclusion is this gorgeous pale aqua tweed covered one. The contrast is so fantastic!
