There are some beauties here- Queen Camilla’s new blue hat is a stunner and Zara’s Vogue photoshoot look is gorgeous. The trim reworking on the Countess of Wessex’s black felt hat is also interesting. Which hats stood out to you here most?

Stay tuned tomorrow for a review of all the British royal hats on Christmas Day.

  1. I have to agree that the Queen’s blue beret is a standout. What a glorious color! The motion of the trim adds some drama.

Kate’s pillbox is a good working hat, and the color is lovely.

I love that Sophie is renovating an old hat and wish more royals would do the same. The new twists don’t pop like the original pinwheel, but make the look more versatile. The poppies were a mistake — so oversized.

  2. Queen Camilla definitely wins this group for me with her royal blue beret at the South Africa state visit. It’s great to see her in a newish bright color for fall/winter, and the trim is well balanced on this one.

I also liked Zara’s outback fedora worn at Cheltenham and enjoyed seeing her hair down as well for something different. Kudos as well to Mike for his great outfit and cap, not to mention color coordinating his nails!
