Danish Royal Couple Cruise to Skagen and Læsø

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark started the second leg of their annual Summer cruise yesterday with a visit to Skagen. Queen Margrethe toured a number of historical and cultural sites before visiting Skagen Church where she added the last stitch of the church’s new altar cloth.

For these outings, Margrethe repeated the electric blue fabric hat with a porkpie style crown and curved brim. It’s such a great colour and hat shape on her, don’t you think?

Today the Queen and Prince consort continued their cruise with a visit to Læsø. Margrethe repeated the tartan trimmed straw hat we saw her in last week. Prince Henrik repeated the nautical cap we saw him sporting during the first leg of the summer cruise in Årø and in Orø (yes- those are different places!).

Danish Royals Continue Summer Cruise

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark continued their summer cruise around Denmark with stops yesterday in Bogense and today on the island of Årø. In Bogense, Margrethe repeated the quirky polka dotted hat she wore in Korea in 2007 (the same hat I featured for her birthday this year!). She paired it with a red jacket which, oddly enough, made the whole ensemble work better than the black suit she wore with this hat last time. That is… if you can ever make a boldly polka dot hat “work”.
