Prince Harry Presides over the 2013 International Fleet Review

Prince Harry arrived in Australia yesterday to take part in the 100 year anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet arriving into Sydney. This morning, he reviewed over 50 ships participating in the 2013 International Fleet Review at Sydney Harbour. Harry wore the his British Army uniform whites (tropical version of the uniform) complete with light blue beret. Below, he is shown with Vice Admiral Ray Griggs and Australian Governor-General Quentin Bryce. Mrs. Bryce’s pale turquoise hat is quite wonderful, isn’t it?

  1. Does the young prince really NEED that mobile phone jammed in his right jacket pocket??? Tacky, immature, spoiled..

      • Seems to me that any security device needed would be hidden in an interior pocket or harness. I am curious as to your source for the assertion.

      • Janet- I interned for a company that helped design and manufacture small electronic devices and one of the things we manufactured was a small “panic button” of sorts. Ours was a new prototype but it was based on a larger device that looks like, you guessed it, a cell phone. You usually keep them in a place where they can be easily accessed in the event of an emergency- Queens Elizabeth and Margrethe keep them in their hand bags and both William and Harry carry them in either their pants or jacket pockets.

  2. Harry looks very sharp in his uniform and Mrs. Bryce looks amazing. I love her entire outfit and her hat is beautiful. I love it!

  3. Our brilliant, elegant Governor-General always looks absolutely stunning. She is 70 years old, she is a barrister and a mother of five. She is quoted as saying “women can have it all – just not all at once”. She is an amazing role model as well as a style icon. She is a seriously attractive woman in every sense of the word.
