The Duke of Edinburgh and his grandson, Prince Harry, carried out their first joint engagement today, opening the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey. For this event, which marks London Poppy Day, both men were in military uniform. Prince Harry wore the Household Cavalry Cloak Order over his regimental dress uniform, topped off with the pale blue beret of the Army Air Corps. Prince Philip wore Royal Navy day ceremonials in his capacity as Lord High Admiral of the Navy. While the Duke has opened this event for several years (after taking it over from the Queen Mum), this was the first year he brought Prince Harry along and I thought it was very touching to see them together.
the Prince of Wales, who is currently on tour in India with the Duchess of Cornwall, met students at the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun today. While I should focus o nhis military uniform hat (with poppy worn on the side), I must admit that I just can’t take my eyes off Camilla’s gorgeous dress and coat.

Royal Hats 
I love all of these military hats. They look very distinguished, and the Duchess of Cornwall is just lovely in that beautiful dress and coat.
Always lovely to see the dashing military men! And to have the DoE bring Harry along just makes me happy,like when HM brings Bea or Eugenie around. And I’m so happy the DoE is in good health. For those who are thinking Harry’s cloak is too big, it’s the Household Calvary, so probably meant to be worn atop a horse. I had to search for Charles’ poppy!
Very nice to see PH and his grandfather together, PH’s coat looks to big for him and it’s rumpled at the bottom, maybe this was all he could find to put on. PC’s jacket color is crooked, what happened to him, didn’t he look in the mirror before he left? Yet, he sure looks like he is enjoying himself out there…….His valet should be looking out for these things, jacket is all wrong on him.6
Charles’ jacket and tie need help. And I can’t see Harry’s hat past that COLLAR. Yikes.
You can tell that the Duke and Prince Harry really are military men 🙂 It is all in the posture.
That is so nice to see Prince Philip and Prince Harry out together. I don’t like Harry’s coat but he sure supports the troops whenever he can, doesn’t he.
Charles looks awkward to me in this uniform but wow does Camilla look good! That dress and coat are just gorgeous.
Harry’s coat/cloak looks big enough to house the whole family! But yes, lovely to see them together.
Prince Philip is amazing. He still cuts a ramrod straight and distinguished figure and he is in his 90’s.
