Queen Sonja of Norway visited the Norwegian Folk Museum in Oslo today to see the exhibition “1814: The Game of Denmark and Norway“. She wore a lovely black wool velvet pork pie hat with pinwheel flower trim that matched the lapel on her charcoal suit. I thought the whole look was very chic and really liked the shape and scale of this hat on her. What do you think?

very elegant!!
Yes Indeed, very chic and elegant1
Hat goes beautifully with a rather somber suit. Perfect.
A winner all around!
Yes, it looks great on her. Just makes the outfit, as i think a hat should. Lovely.
As you said, Hat Queen, it is indeed chic. Very becoming on her!
um… a pork pie? I don’t get it.
It’s a kind of hat, funnily enough. I’m going to feature it soon so stay tuned!
This isn’t a hat that I particularly like in the abstract at all, but I think it goes so well with the outfit that it can be counted as very successful.
I really like Queen Sonja’s hat. It looks very nice on her and it looks great with her outfit. Very flattering!
Yes it is very flattering. The whole outfit goes very nicely together.
