The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended Easter Sunday Service at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney, Australia this morning. As expected, Kate wore a hat for the service- a grey percher hat trimmed with a large multi-looped organdie bow (hand dyed, I suspect). I loved how the fussy hat contrasted with the very clean lines of Kate’s coat and I thought her hairstyle showed off the hat to excellent effect. It’s a great hat for Kate, isn’t it?

And the Queen wore grey to her Easter service too – do you think it was planned?
No. I don’t see any reason why the Queen and Kate would coordinate their outfits at services half way around the world.
Love the shape and color, however, the ribbon should have been curled versus flat.
Curled on the side. The ribbon seems to lay flat next to her face.

Much nicer…like the shape…a bit more colour would have been even nicer.
When I first saw long-distance shot of this outfit, I found it impressive: as you said, it’s a fussy hat of top of clean lines, striking.
While I still like the hat, especially the bow, I’m surprised how unpressed and pulled the coat looks up close. It doesn’t hang well, and that detracts from its clean lines. And I certainly don’t understand the beige purse and shoes (in other photos). Any shade of gray would have been preferable.
I trust that this hat will be worn again with a better coat, particularly in fall or winter.
I’m not so sure how I feel about this outfit. Yes, it’s elegant but somehow it looks like she went shopping in her mother’s closet. I love the hat but shouldn’t it be worn a bit further back on her head? The hair is perfection!
I think Kate’s hat for church, and indeed her outfit, is chic and elegant. A yes from me.
A really excellent hat on Kate, with the outfit and for the occasion. I like her hair with it too; to me, long hair with a hat, even if partly held back, can often look rather juvenile, but I thought this came across as a proper grown-up look, very elegant.
