Princess Yoko Supports Universal Design

In August 2013, Princess Yoko of Mikasa became patron of the International Association for Universal Design. In her capacity as patron, she was in Koriyama City yesterday to take part in pre-conference events related to the upcoming 5th International Conference for Universal Design which will occur in Fukushima and Tokyo. For this engagement, Princess Yoko topped her white suit with a coordinating white fedora hat. Her low ponytail set the hat off well and I thought the fedora shape was great on her. It’s wonderful to see the ladies of the Imperial family experimenting with new hat shapes, isn’t it?
