Royal Hats 
It’s a tie between Tessy’s dove grey/navy saucer fascinator and 13 on Maria Teresa for my favorite of the Luxembourg ladies. Number 5 on Claire also looked great. My personal favorite has to be Maria Teresa’s green fascinator; I’m biased because green is my favorite color and I love this hat, but I didn’t like it with her outfit. She should’ve paired it with a grey (or possibly navy) outfit, then it would’ve been perfect.
I love Grand Duchess Maria Theresa’s green cocktail hat! Love it! She gets point for color and creativity all year long!

Love Princess Tessy’s grey and navy saucer! I want it! I also like Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s black pillbox with a white bow at the back. Very lovely and occasion appropriate.
My favorite is Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s green cocktail hat she wore to meet the Dutch. Fabulous shade on her and a very interesting detail on the hat.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s leaf green straw cocktail hat is simply divine! I LOVE it! (green is my favorite color)
I love the swirly green one, and the gray saucer with navy trim, and the wavy navy picture hat.
Princess Tessy’s saucer and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s black pillbox and pink brimmed hats take the prize for me. I think the beige-y hat with the huge flower is the big loser.
As overdone as the disk has been, I still have to agree with the nomination of Tessy’s. it’s one of the best I’ve seen in this style. I like MT’s pink, but I think the design of the beige puts it among my best for year. As for Stephanie, I vote FOR the pink. It’s whimsical and age-appropriate, I like that she’s wearing color and taking risks. It’s her beige (with the red outfit) that I think is a hot mess.
Tessy’s Grey saucer hat is amazing so that gets my vote. my least favorite is he pink hat worn by HGD Stephanie.
I agreed that for some odd reason HGD Stephanie’s black pillbox really looked great on her, as did her mother-in-law’s similar hat. For me the worst hat is the lavender cartwheel in the middle of the first row. I remember it was worn with trousers which really made it even more unsuitable.
My family and I all think the pillbox hats shown here are very good, and our number one choice for best of the bunch is Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie’s black pillbox hat, worn to Queen Fabiola’s funeral. She is in the photo at the far right in the third row from the top. Second place would be Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s black pillbox trimmed with a white bow at the back, and which complimented her black and white outfit. The hat I am referring to is pictured second from the left in the bottom row. Third prize is awarded to Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s vibrant pink hat with squared crown and diagonal upturned brim, which had a matching suit, and it is pictured at the far left of the bottom row. Fourth prize goes to Princess Tessy’s large dove grey saucer hat trimmed in navy piping and a large grey and navy looped bow. This is in the photo in the centre of the second row from the top.
The booby prize for worst hat of the bunch goes to Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie’s fuschia straw hat, which was a mis-match to her coat, and was an awkward shape, with white flowers plonked on it, and it didn’t suit her face shape. It is pictured in the third row from the top and is the second from the left.
I mainly agree with you Tatsuya Kuniyoshi, except that I would make your fourth prize getter, Princess Tessy’s large dove grey saucer hat, an equal first with Duchess Stephanie’s black pillbox hat (which I concur, was the best pillbox of this bunch, and of the year). I think this group of royal ladies pretty much nailed it, despite the deluge of pillboxes, as they were all good. If I must chose a worst hat out of this lot, it would have to reluctantly be Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie’s fuschia straw hat, which I don’t hate, but I don’t love. I agree it was a total mis-match to her coat, and it is an awkward shape, but it still might have worked without those horrid, poorly constructed white flowers plonked on top of it, and with a different color of outfit and different hairdo.
