Royal Hats

Princess Akiko of Mikasa was in bright turquoise tafetta with a matching flower trimmed hat at the Gagaku Concert. You might have to see it to believe it. (Imperial Royals of Japan)

Royal Warrant holder Rachel Trevor Morgan is celebrating 25 years of hatmaking by sharing a hat (either a past creation or piece of inspiration) on each day of advent. It’s a wonderful look through her millinery career (Rachel Trevor Morgan)

  1. This Week’s Extras was very entertaining HatQueen. I looks forward to the Rachael Trevor Morgan retrospective. There are some superb hats on her website.

  2. Thank, you for the fun Extras, HatQueen. I wonder about the choice of Princess Astrid to light the Tradalgar Square Christmas tree, though. Is that a tradition?

    • The tree is always a gift every year from the people of Norway in appreciation of what the UK did for them in the 2nd World War. There is usually a member of the Norwegian royal famiy in attendance at the ceremony if I remember correctly.
