After comparing the numerous beautiful new and repeated royal hats we saw worn during the month of May, two very clear winners have emerged:

Crown Princess Mary in a Susanne Juul designed black straw picture hat with waved brim worn on May 27

The Countess of Wessex’s cream straw cocktail hat with white crin brim, grey organdie ribbon curls and black feathers designed by Jane Taylor and worn to a Buckingham Palce garden party on May 10

This brings two completely different royal hat wearers into our finalists for favourite hats of the year!
