Queen Silvia in a cosy knit hat along with Princess Madeleine and King Carl Gusta (in his trusty fedora) on ski holiday in the Alps (Swedish Royal Court)

Milliner Jane Taylor shared a peek of some new designs- I adore the folded detail on the hatband ribbon

Make sure you did not miss the lovely Christmas photos from the Belgian royal family, the Greek royal family, Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana, the Swedish Royal Family, The Danish Queen and Prince Henrik with their grandchildren and the Dutch monarchs with their daughters.

Lovely new portraits of the Danish twins for their 6th birthday and Princess Margriet and Peter von Vollenhoven for their 50th wedding anniversary

  1. This picture from March 2016 shows the detail much better – not one of my favorites, except for the fact that HM is out and about again, looking great. The feather is the best feature, along with the wonderful royal blue color. I don’t care for the ice-cutter shape.

  2. Glad to see QE2 back and sailing along … and love all the family photos from the European royals (although amazed that Maxima chose that lobster necklace for her shot, oh well, that’s Maxima for you – still adore her).

Nice to have you back too, HatQueen!
