With yesterday’s close of 2017, it’s time to look back at the most successful hats we saw worn in December month and choose our favourites. First up – repeated designs.
There were six new royal hats worn in December which, based on your comments, were particularly successful. Please click on each hat to link back to its original feature post with additional information and views (don’t underestimate the importance of seeing each hat from multiple views!)
Here are these six hats, shown in the order they were worn:

Crown Princess Mary’s navy felt cloche with velvet double hatband and side flower by Susanne Juul worn Dec 23

Queen Elizabeth’s magenta domed crown hat with red feathers by Rachel Trevor Morgan worn Dec 6
Queen Elizabeth’s purple felt hat with folded kettle brim and silk iris trim by Angela Kelly worn Dec 7

Countess of Wessex’s navy felt trilby by Jane Taylor worn to church Dec 24
I love seeing CP Masako in a brimmed hat, and the rich burgundy colour is beautiful on her!
