For this event, she repeated her mulberry straw hat with stepped crown and gently sideswept brim, trimmed with a side posy of handmade silk flowers and mulberry a straw multi-looped bow.

There’s not much to add about this hat- the colour, scale, stepped crown shape and balanced trim are all lovely on Her Majesty. I can only imagine she agrees, as it’s not often a new design is worn four times in its first year as this one has!

  1. Yes, love it.
The Grima “volcano” brooch looks particularly effective paired with this hat, because of its colours being so similar to the trim. I can hardly believe it, but this hat has actually convinced me to like this brooch. Millinery magic…..

  2. I was a fan the first time we saw this hat and it’s still one of my faves in current rotation.

There seems to be typos in first and second paragraph, btw.
