Hat From the Past

Royal Hats to this day in 2002 when, during a tour of Northern Ireland, Queen Elizabeth wore Marie O’Reagan design with looping brim binding-hatband-giant bow. Royal hats don’t often build their focus trim off a brim’s binding, making this design a unique and interesting one, indeed.

  1. Check out the flower petal collar and hem line on the dress down under in Brisbane! The jury is out on this one.

  2. A unique design that looks lovely on HM. My big complaint is the loop that goes over the crown just unfortunately stops as it comes back down, making it seem a bit unfinished; also, these fabric covered loops do look a bit cheap to me as the fabric gets a little wavy (sorry, better terminology is escaping me at the moment) as it bends (I’ve seen this a few hats at the shop where I work, and it just annoys me).
