In 1983 and 1984, Queen Elizabeth wore this folded magenta and navy turban on two different Canadian tours and a visit to R.A.F. Coltishall in Norfolk.

Yes, the fabric is a gorgeous colour but the turban style is not my favourite for Queen Elizabeth.
I wonder if there is a date after which the Queen has not worn a brimless hat. ??
I believe her most recently worn brimless hat was this one on March 17, 2016
Thank you Hat Queen. Well found. It’s a very unusual hat.
I like the colouring.
This one is a bit too typical of the styles she wore in the mid years for me, when the clothes and hats she wore weren’t particularly fashionable, or massively flattering. They tended to be small and inoffensive so there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with it, but nothing to particularly wow.
Enjoying this series! Thank you for your creativity and hard work.
