Princess Anne attended the second day of Royal Ascot today in another new hat! In grey sinamay, the hat follows a stovepipe shape with tall crown and downward facing brim. It is trimmed with a grey sinamay bow edged in blue ribbon, a layered blue ribbon hatband and a spray of grey feathers.

It’s a well balanced design and the blue trim gives a lovely bit of contrast. I’m not sure grey is Princess Anne’s best colour but I’m going to welcome this new hat nonetheless!

Royal Hats 
I love this hat on Princess Anne, and the photo where she is standing near the gentlemen in the light-colored top hats is fun. Agree that grey is not her best color, however the combo with the blue is unexpected and attractive, and the addition of blue gloves and handbag is a nice touch.

I really love this hat on Anne and think it’s a great addition to her collection. I do wish she had chosen an outfit that pulled out more of the dusky blue of the hatband rather than the silver of the hat itself, but overall a very nice ensemble that is much improved over yesterday’s look.
This is a pretty hat and I like the dress as well. A much nicer ensemble than yesterday, hurrah!
I really like this new hat for The Princess Royal. I think it’s a gently sophisticated style in a soft colour combination. The placement of the trim slightly to one side is just right. Very pretty.
I like the hat, not the dress. I will look forward to future outings and other dresses paired with this hat.
This is such a great hat, size, shape and trim are all wonderful for the P. Royal. I like it much better than yesterday’s which kind of looked like it had been sat on.
