There’s a picture in one of the slide shows of a pretty brunette woman wearing the same hat that Zara Tyndall wore, green boater with tall pink rose. That’s the first time I’ve seen a royal hat duplicate like that.
Millinery PR companies require one of every piece in a milliner’s collection to use for a season. They send these hats around to stylists (like Annie Miall who works with Zara), magazine editors etc. to get each design on as many heads and photo shoots as possible before sending them back to the milliner at the end of the season (often damaged).
Countess Mountbatten’s hat looks stunning, suits her beautifully.
Sheikh Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Thani, a first cousin to the Emir of Qatar, was also in attendance in a black silk top hat:

So many gorgeous hats, but you know I also have to shout out the fantastic waistcoats on these two gentlemen:

And finally, something we don’t see a ton of, but it’s great to see national costumes being worn at Ascot, like these Japanese visitors, some of whom paired their kimonos with hats and fascinators:

Countess Mountbatten and Lady De Mauley are both beautiful. As are Lady Eliza and Lady Emilia Spencer. I especially like Lady Eliza’s black hat with all the spotted veiling. Lovely.
Helen George, Laura-Ann Barr, Lily Frank and Belinda Strudwick all look stunning.
I love the pink boater and blue shoes on the grass.
