  1. Thankyou HQ, Some wonderful photos – and lovely to see some Ive never seen before. Amazing to see the avant garde styles following WWII, and also some others, which Jimbo mentioned could still be worn today. Looking forward to the rest of the series, and also a chance to share some of our favourites…
On a separate note, so pleased to see the positivity and warmth being offered to our new King and Queen Consort, and their family. Long may it continue

  2. Wow! Such a wonderful, large array of varied styles and shapes. Some of the fascinators would be perfectly appropriate today! I recognize some from this batch of hats from the outstanding 70 Countdown Series back in April and May. If only more color photos were available! Hat Queen, you’ve outdone yourself again.

  3. I love seeing how, as Princess, HM fully embraced the experimentation and variety expressed in millinery of the 1940s and early 1950s.

  4. Just to say thank you, HatQueen, for yourhard work in compiling this wonderful picture of the Queen’s life and hats, such a lovely tribute, and very much appreciated.

  5. Marvelous tribute, thank you!
I wonder how many hats the Queen wore during her 70 year reign? Or her lifetime! Should be a gorgeous hardcover coffee table book made of this!!
