Catching up a little late here. So grateful for this collection of photos and your knowledgeable comments, HatQueen. If this had been a royal wedding with hats this good, we’d all be cheering. Given the circumstances, quiet admiration seems more appropriate. Agree with others that Sophie’s ensemble is lovely — one of her best ever. Kate was stunning in her veiled picture hat. Beatrice wore her pillbox beautifully. Charlotte’s hat was just charming. Love the illustration from sylishfilly.
Quiet admiration…I love that Mitten Mary.
The ladies in the BRF paid a remarkable hat tribute to The Queen of Hats. The Countess of Wessex…poignant in it’s tribute. The Princess of Wales…stunning in it’s scale. Princess Charlotte…sweet nod to Gan-Gan. Zara Tindall…effortlessly chic.
All of the Royal family looked elegant and beautiful. Even though mother/daughter Kate and Charlotte immediately caught my eye, Sophie’s ensemble was spectacular.
The Royal ladies were the epitomy of grace and elegance. Beautiful hats. Princess Charlotte’s sweet black boater brought a tear to my eye.
No one put a foot – or a hat – wrong, did they? Sophie’s whole ensemble is marvelous.
The Countess of Wessex’s coat dress and hat are such a marvellous and subtle tribute. Her Majesty would be honoured.
Everyone looked beautiful and the hats are all stunning. Sophie’s coat embroidered with the lily-of-the-valley is breathtakingly beautiful and her hat a perfect match for it.
Thank you for all these great posts on these events and remembering the queen
