This Week’s Extras

There were some tech issues with a post covering ten hats worn to the Imperial garden party- read it here if you missed it!
Back on April 16, Princess Hisako wore an elegant grey veiled hat for a visit to a Buddist temple

Princess Yoko repeated a white silk bowler hat last Monday at Yasukuni Shrine

Princess Aiko wore a black silk covered bumper hat with back bow for a visit to the mausoleum of Emperor Showa at Musashi Imperial Graveyard on Thursday

Officially, this counts as a hat, right?!

The Royal Ascot countdown is on!

  1. Here to join the chorus praising Hisako! Lovely to see this hat repeated again, and I hope we see some other repeats from her soon; she definitely has a great collection to choose from!

  2. Princess Hisako looked perfect! Japanese Imperial tailoring is sooo perfect.  Elegant and classic, she was very appropriate for the occasion. The best hat this week is the non-royal; the Ascot cowboy! What a great get up.

  3. I love Princess Hisako’s look and how her hat matches her grey outfit. She looks pert and lively, not at all stodgy.

  4. Princess Takamodo, as always, wears a hat with flair.

I hope Ascot is using the ‘cowboy’ just to attract attention and that it is not an intended theme!
