Lovely new photos of Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Oscar and pup Rio released today for Pentecost. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia also shared these photos of Prince Alexander to celebrate his fifth birthday.

Princess Benedikte opened an exhibition of Danish artist Lars Physant​’s work which includes a striking new portrait of her, unveiled at the opening.

And finally, this stunning photograph taken by Prince Nikolaos of Greece, shared to announce his upcoming photography exhibition in London

While chatting with the Royal Life Saving Society, Queen Elizabeth recalled passing life saving training 80 years ago!

New portraits of Queen Máxima were released in lead up to her 50th birthday tomorrow, all taken by King Willem-Alexander. And yes- we’re going to celebrate her birthday tomorrow with a look at some of her millinery whoppers!

A few weeks ago I mentioned a project I was working on behind the scenes. I’m so pleased to announce today’s launch of The British Millinery Association and most honoured to be a founding Ambassador.

Don’t worry- I have no plans to give up Royal Hats and things will continue here as usual. These weekend ‘extras’ posts have made me increasingly aware of a much larger millinery industry beyond just royal hats. The British Millinery Association aims to draw this larger group into an inclusive community that regularly gathers to develop skills, share ideas, preserve millinery’s heritage and innovate for the future. While primarily geared to milliners in the UK, membership is open to anyone passionate about hats, anywhere in the world.
