to this day in 1969 which saw the Monaco royals visit their counterparts in Belgium. Host Queen Fabiola sported a spotted turban that stylishly references the fashion of the day while Princess Grace looked characteristically elegant in a black pillbox.

Stepping back 105 years to a spectacular feathered hat worn by Queen Mary in 1911 while aboard the HMS Medina, sailing to India for the Delhi Durbar.

to this day in 2002 when Queen Beatrix welcomed Nigerian President Obasanjo on a state visit to the Netherlands wearing an oddly shaped charcoal and navy hat by Harry Scheltens.
