Good memories are our second chance at happiness.”

Queen Elizabeth II

In coming days, we will relive good memories of her, celebrate who she was- gracious, noble, strong, happy and glorious- and look back at her extraordinary life through her hats. Those of us who count ourselves among her subjects are most fortunate to have lived during her reign.

With concerning news about the Queen’s health today, all royal watching eyes are firmly fixed in Scotland. On Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay and the Princess Royal enjoyed the Braemar Games.

Princess Anne used the occasion to wear a new red blocked felt beret trimmed with felt cutouts on the side.

The lines of the hat are fantastic and give the small scale design such interest. Anne wears red well and this design is a great addition to her wardrobe.

While our thoughts and hearts are with the Queen, I thought we might be lifted with this great pair of berets.
