Last weekend, the Duchess of Sussex wore a wide brimmed hat to a polo match. I believe the design, with crin brim, was a ready-to-wear mass produced piece.
Princess Beatrice wore a black hairbow Monday at the Chelsea Flower Show and Princess Michael of Kent wore a chic tan leather newsboy cap to the same event.

Queen Sonja repeated her taupe leather pillbox Thursday at the opening of the Bergen Festival.
The Duke of Cambridge was spotted yesterday rehearsing for next Thursday’s Trooping the Colour. This year, it will be the Irish Guards Trooping their Colour and Prince William is the regiment’s Colonel.

Norwegian National Day 2022

The Norwegian royal family celebrated the country’s national holiday yesterday, first at a children’s parade at Skaugum

followed by the annual balcony appearance at the Royal Palace in Oslo. Queen Sonja wore a new red hat with short, curved brim and rounded bowler crown. The hat is trimmed with an interesting wrapped hatband in ombre dyed orange and dark pink.

King Herald and Crown Prince Haakon wore gleaming antique black silk top hats.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a new double layered circular headpiece in what looks like a textured tan fabric. The design looks to tie in a sort of bow around the back, at the nape of her neck.

2021 Nobel Peace Prize

The 2021 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony was held today at Oslo City Town Hall. Queen Sonja wore a new hat for the occasion, a black formed beret design overlaid with a dotted black veil.

The classic shape suits Sonja well and the dot-studded veil lends contrast, texture and visual interest, pairing beautifully with her aubergine velvet jacket.

On Tuesday, Princess Mako donned a silk covered bumper hat to report her upcoming marriage to the Imperial Sanctuaries.

On Friday, Princess Mako was photographed arriving in a sky blue silk jacquard bandeau trimmed with silk roses arriving for a farewell visit with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako.
