Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark enjoyed a visit to Møn today on the final day of their 2013 summer cruise. From all reports, it was a very windy day so Margrethe elected not to wear a hat. A true hat trooper to the core, she braved the wind with a wide jade green headband scarf. I’m not sure this is a fashion trend I would embrace long-term but you’ve got to admire a Queen who comes up with such brave last-minute millinery solutions in a crisis. Prince Henrik sported his yachting cap and looked dapper for the last day of this year’s sailing season.

Oh Daisy. This is a disaster.
Very inventive and a very pretty colour.
Not very queenly… but it is inventive!
When you’re a queen, anything can be queenly if you carry yourself right. Besides, green is the hottest colour this fall!
I guess she just wore the scarf from the hat because it was easyer to stay on in the wind and a hat wouldave blown away! LOL!
