Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands celebrates her 76th birthday today. Last year, we looked at her incredible wardrobe of hats (see here, here and here); while Beatrix has worn nearly every style (and shape and colour) of hat imaginable, she has settled into a familiar signature millinery “look” during the past decade. It is amazing to think of her venturing far away from this signature look but I would love to see her in something a little more linear instead of the rounded shape hats she usually wears- something like the “Sophie” hat by British designer Bundle MacLaren
What hats would you like to see Princess Beatrix wear? Please link to original photos and credit the designers for each hat.

I also do not like the hat you chose for Princess Beatrix at all HatQueen!! That’s OK sometimes even you can get it wrong!! I think Princess Beatrix looks so good in medium colors. Most of the hats here are either very light or very dark. I prefer something in the middle.
I really like the pink hats you all have shared! What about something soft and also dramatic?

There are some beautiful hats on this site. I like the flowery hats but I don’t think they are right for Queen Beatrix. She always looks so good in something big and slightly more bold. It’s not the kind of hat I would ever wear but it would look so good on her.

I don’t agree with your suggestion. It is too modern. Queen Beatrix looks beautiful in more traditional hats in bright colors. This one made by Louise Green has a little gold sparkle that would be perfect!

She’s so sweet. I think a soft and romantic hat for her.

I think the Countess of Wessex would look great in the Sophie hat you found for Princess Beatrix!
Beautiful hat for Princess Beatrix. Would look stunning on her!
Wow! I love Hatqueen’s suggested hat. It is exactly like what I would have chosen for princess Beatrix.
I like soft shapes and colors for Princess Beatrix. She is one of my favorite royal ladies and I think she would look beautiful in this hat.

Lady Brabourne in another hat to add to our list of upturned lattice brim hats! I suspect this one is also made by Philip Treacy.
I love the blue hat Queen Elizabeth wore for her Jubilee. Queen Beatrix would look very nice in a similar hat.

This hat was made by Rachel Trevor Morgan
A hat in this depth of color and a simple shape would be very flattering and beautiful on Princess Beatrix
I like this from Mary Ann Koch Couture Creations.

I don’t know anything about designers and I am afraid I do not like most of these hats. I think ladies should be able to wear hats that are comfortable and look nice. Plainer is probably better for most of us and maybe Princess Beatrix agrees sometimes. I like this navy hat. It would go with a lot of different clothes.

This hat was made by William Chambers. Please, please PLEASE credit the designer, everyone!
There is a very nice hat shop in Amsterdam, De Hoed Van Tijn. Some natural green hat for spring would be nice.

The hats in this shop are beautiful! I like this one for me and for Princess Beatrix!

This is a beautiful hat! I also like the shape of the green one above but would prefer it in more of a jade color. This lime green wouldn’t do anything for Princess Beatrix
She is the only Dutch Princess who does not wear Fabienne Delvigne! I wish she would wear this designer.

Yes, Fabienne Delvigne could make some beautiful hats for Princess Beatrix. I like the hat presented by Hat Queen in slope shape with feathers. My choice for Princess Beatrix is the hat Mme. Chirac wore to the wedding of Princess Charlene and Prince Albert.

For Princess Beatrix I also like the hat Queen Paoala wore to this same wedding but in a more vibrant color.

Just to clarify- this hat was also made by Fabienne Delvigne
