Birthday of Swedish King

King Carl Gustaf of Sweden celebrated his 68th birthday today with a military parade at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The King and his son, Prince Carl Philip, attended the event in military uniform.

Members of the Swedish royal family watched the ceremony from a balcony above the courtyard. Little Princess Estelle was the only family member in a headpiece, wearing one of her signature (and oh-so adorable) head bows.

  1. I adore Princess Estelle and her hair bows. She is precious. I’m so glad you post these. I do wish the others would favor us with some more hats as well. Don’t they realize they have expecting hat fans? 😉
And I had to giggle a bit, yes, they really could benefit from a bigger balcony!

    • No, I don’t think they realize just how eagarly we await their latest offerings. However, looks like the ever adoreable (oh heavens I never thought I would be waxing lyrical about a small child . . . ) is left to carry the day with her signature Double Bow. (Her little coat is just perfect. Very chic). ❤

Hmm, that balcony is definitely a bit of a worry. 😉

  2. So sweet – Estelle’s hair bow echoes her grandmother’s brooch 🙂 I doubt it was intended but I love it just the same.
