Princess Mary of Denmark officially opened a new Psychiatry Hospital in Slagelse this morning. For this inauguration, she repeated her natural straw bow-trimmed calot hat. We have seen this hat with several other outfits and I thought today’s pairing with her blue silk dress was a great match for a less formal, late summer engagement.

Royal Hats 
It’s a good hat for her but I prefer it with her hair up.
It’s a very nice outfit, but nothing will beat the pairing with the black and white floral dress, that was Jackie O fabulous.
I like this the best of them all….
I like the hat but I am not sure that it really goes with this dress. It’s a nice, simple, natural straw hat, but the intense blues in the dress compete with it I think.
I think the neutral hat compliments the inky blues so well! Complimentary colors always do. A blue hat would have been way too much and as always, Princess Mary’s styling is spot on.
I was wondering who Princess May of Denmark was.. . . .?

Love the dress. Hat is kinda boring but works with the dress.
Overall very nice although the blue in the dress seems to be somewhat overpowering.
