  1. Interesting selection of millinery designs. Love the Monika Neuhauser cream saucer: it is beautifully made, crin can be such a tricky material. The Stephen Jones’ straw cap has a lovely Jane Austen vibe about it!
    Thank you for featuring my sequinned percher, Hat Queen. It was fun to make, although it nearly ruined my scissors. I picked up the fabric on one of my trips to Paris and it had been laying in a box for a while before I got an idea what to do with it. You can flip over the sequins with your fingers to show the bright silver side of them and create a different pattern each time.

    • That double-sided sequin effect sounds dazzling on an already stunning percher, Wies Mauduit!

      I see what you mean about the Stephen Jones design, but my first impression was of the 1920s, like the fabulous fashions worn by Essie Davis in the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries series. But good designs come back, and they tend to look different in each incarnation.
