I love a crisp black and white look and enjoy the dress code for this annual event. What do you think of the headwear?

I know this is a bit late, but apparently the dress code (which we’ve discussed previously) of black & white outfits for royal women was set before Silvia according to The Court Jeweller: https://www.thecourtjeweller.com/2021/09/royal-pearls-at-swedens-parliament.html
I love Victoria in tailoring, I wish she’d do this more often instead of the florals and trouser suits she goes for, she looks fab. The headpiece is underwhelming though, I do agree. Silvia looks like Silvia; chic and regal. The black and white dresscode really is a winner for this event.
I wondered if Silvia was going to repeat this hat so quickly, and sure enough she did! Luckily it was only the hat, but since we just saw this, I’m left underwhelmed.
Victoria’s headpiece is even more underwhelming since she’s repeated it to this event so often and it’s barely visible. I get it the opening of parliament does not bring out big hats for the Swedes, but I think Victoria’s fantastic outfit this time (seriously, I love it!) would’ve paired perfectly with this portrait hat from Carl Gustaf’s 70th birthday:

Good catch!
This hat would have been perfect for this occasion.
Thank you.
