This Week’s Extras

On Tuesday, Princess Anne repeated a  red felt brimless hat by Amy Morris Adams to attend racing at Sandown Park.

Also on Tuesday, Princess Hisako, wore a sharp ecru beret with folded teal trim for an awards ceremony

On Friday, Princess Hisako wore an ivory brimmed hat with lilac feather trim for an orchid exhibition while Crown Princess Kiko repeated a black silk covered bowler for a memorial event.

Mike Tindall weighed in on next week’s Cheltenham Races and the 2023 Royal Ascot Style Guide was released

The following new millinery design caught my eye this week (see the comments for more):

Princess Iman of Jordan was married today to Mr. Jameel Thermiotis. She borrowed the most exquisitely delicate tiara from her paternal grandmother, Princess Muna.

  1. Great to see Anne and Hisako in their berets! The Swedish crown princely family has a strong beanie game.

I’m not sure what the occasion would be for Mandy Pan’s headpiece, but it is stunning! Nicky Miller’s felt flowers are lovely on the saucer. Very interesting to see the Sonia Delaunay inspiration in Filipa Cardoso’s design. Tim Tadder — hmmm, futuristic superhero movie?

  2. It was nice seeing Princess Anne out in her red beret. She was out a month ago in an unusual style for her, a beanie.

Great additions to the “Caught My Eye” Department this week. Since I tend to lean toward the more practical, accessible hats, (the artsy, whimsical designs are beautiful, but the chances of them actually being worn in the US mid-west are slightly slimmer) my two favorites are the lightweight grey straw from bettinathomascouturehats, and the classic pink fedora by oscar and willow millinery.

  3. Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar in cozy hats for Crown Princess Victoria’s name day today.
