Queen Margrethe repeated a cream felt hat with peach wool covered curved brim today to open an outdoor museum at Trundholm Mose, Odsherred, site where the famous Bronze Age “Sun Chariot” figure was found in 1902.

~L'oeil du caméra~ Back view of a special hat for a special person. The brief was as follows: the hat had to be elegant enough for racing events and such, sturdy enough to travel, not too big, and, most important, to leave the right side of the face free for the wearer to take photographs with a professional camera. The idea of a camera eye inspired me to extend the brim into a swirl, turning round the shallow half crown at the back of the hat. #laplusbelle_hoeden #wiesmauduit_bespokemillinery #handmadehats #dutchdesign #millinerytutor #theeyeofthecamera #racewear #couturehats #designerhats #standoutfromthecrowd #hoeden #chapeau #hautemode #slowfashion #millinerymaker #instasuccesclub

Princess Kiko wore a new black felt cloche with diagonal crown wrap on Wednesday to the Japanese Olympic team’s send off to the Pyeong Chang Olympics. While so similar to Queen Elizabeth’s diagonal wrapped crown cloche hats, this one somehow feels much more modern and sleek.
